Dylan Burch, grandson of Brent Kallestad and Kathy Van Loo and son of Blair Kallestad (Blair was confirmed at Grace by Pastor Eckard), graduated from Lincoln High School. Dylan was baptized by Pastor Eckard on Christmas Eve of 2001. His future plans are unclear although TCC is a possibility.
Tyra Buehner, daughter of Randi & Tim Buehner, graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a Psychology minor. She will be attending Oklahoma State University this fall to pursue a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology.
Mara Eichin, daughter of Mary & the late Kurt Eichin, graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s in performance from the University of North Florida on May 1, 2020. She has one more semester this fall to complete her Bachelor’s in Music Education and then another semester in the spring, where she will be awarded her Master’s in Music Education. She currently teaches private lessons and worked for Duval County Schools in the after school enrichment program teaching strings.
Roxie Moore, daughter of Roger Moore and granddaughter of Frieda Hutchinson, graduated first in her class from Tulsa Welding School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in April. She is now a professional welder.
Avery Tangen, daughter of Kristin & Troy Tangen, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida High. She was a member of the Varsity swim team and was Secretary of the National Honor Society, National Social Studies Honor Society (Rho Kappa) and the National Mathematics Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta). Avery will be attending Florida State University this fall in their honors program.

Mary Allen, daughter of Tom & Sara Allen, has completed 8th grade at Cobb Middle School with very high marks throughout her time there. She initiated her own application to the magnet program at Cobb and was accepted. She loves to draw and is an exceptionally gifted artist. She will be in 9th grade at Leon High school next year! She is a member of the youth group at GLC.
Oliver Jacobs, son of Ben & Sunshine Jacobs, and grandson of Jean & Buddy Jacobs, graduated from Magnolia School with many awards and accomplishments including winning county, state and nationwide writing contests. In addition, he earned numerous Thespians awards including “Best in Show in Duet Acting” of his original play “Bugs are the Future” about food sustainability which he performed in Orlando in front of an audience of over 4,000. He is also an accomplished citizen scientist and earned scholarships from FSU’s bio marine lab for studying marine biology and oceanography as well as being an active volunteer in the Coastal Plains Institute Newt Repatriation effort. Namor McGovern de Freitas, son of Patricia McGovern, and grandson of the late Betty McGovern, graduated as an A/B honor roll student from Montford Middle School. He enjoyed participating in both band (where he played the clarinet) and chorus this year, and also took a guitar class during his time at Montford! One of his greatest passions is his participation in Boy Scout Troop 44 where he is currently a First Class Scout working towards his Star Rank. He is also a proud member of the Order of the Arrow (OA) Boy Scout Honor Society, and an active member of the Native American drum team in the OA. In his free time Namor enjoys figuring things out and working on tech and computer projects. Next year he will be attending Lincoln High School and hopes to join the ROTC.
Josh Vanderhoof, a member of our youth group, also graduated from 8th grade this year!
